Ultimate Game Programming started off as a small OpenGL graphics programming web site in the summer of 2002 by Allen Sherrod. The purpose of this website was to provide implementations to as many techniques as possible. The goal was to help programmers quickly learn new information without having to go through the trails and errors themselves. With a lack of decently written code out there aimed at beginners on the net this was a great idea and opportunity.

Since that time the web site has grown considerable. Now with about a dozen different programming sections, Ultimate Game Programming is becomming one of the largest web sites on the net on this topic. With growth came over 8 different web site layouts (6 of which made it up), a huge increase in site traffic, and a great opportunity to help many people in the community.

It's simple. The mission is to bring you the best resource for game programming and development than anywhere else on the internet. I have a passion for game programming as well as a passion to share what I know with others around the world. Since the start I have been working more than anyone else to bring you as much information as possible and will only continue to do so as time goes on.

As time moves forward so does my commitment to you. For those of you that have been with me since the beginning you already know that I am not just talking the talk but also walking the walk.
